problem

Have 2003 Audi a4, 1.8t petrol . Was driving it today and it began to rev high then cut out, restarted it and same again revved high again then cut out after about 5 secs, any thoughts what this might be?

Nope, this is also the wrong forum, yours is a B6, you might get a better answer there. It would also help if you could get some codes from it, you description is just to open.
