Default Problem with front bumper

I had to replace my front bumper because it got caught on a parking pylon and the replacement (OEM Audi) keeps coming unattached on the sides near the front wheel well. The Audi body shop has told me it is just a flaw in the design and cannot be fixed. Has anyone else had this problem and/or know a solution?

Default Make sure you are actually engaging the lower portion of the clips. Another AWer(who had plenty

of experience with R&Ring the bumper)thought his side mount clips were worn out as well. Turned out the lower part of the mount wasn't catching. Pulled back the fender liner to make sure they were and no more problems.

Default Actually, more often than not, the clips aren't worn out..

...rather the bumper is just not clipped in ALL THE WAY. I thought for the longest time that my clips had worn out, because I could pop it in but a few hours later the sides would pop right back out. Turns out that the sides weren't REALLY clipped in all the way. Try pulling back the plastic in the wheel well so that you can actually see the clip and make sure it's in all the way. Good luck

I had same problem, it just takes more force than you think to engage the clips completely.

More finesse than force, though ;-)
