Problem . . help!!
My car has been sitting in my garage for about 1 week and a few days give or take. Replaced radiator and coolant fan. After doing that and filling with coolant, it seemed like the battery was completely dead. So I jumped it and it started, took it for a drive down the street, brought it back home and turned it off. Went to start it again and wouldn't even turn over. Anyone know what is going on? Didn't have any codes on the OBDII about alternator or anything. I appreciate your help.

Batteries start the car, alternators run the car.
Your alternator is probably fine, but being taxed out as you drive it.
Your battery is probably shot. Replace it as soon as possible.
The more you jump the vehicle, the more you tax the alternator, the more you risk burning up the expensive piece of equipment.

a "drive down the street" isn't enough to charge the battery. You need to drive it around for 30 min
or so. Just get a trickle charger from your nearest auto parts store, plug it in overnight and it'll be good to go.

I think it may be in the B5 faq. There is a procedure for checking the electrical system, which will check for unnecessary current draw, etc.. Here's an additional simple test you can perform: Hook up jumper cables to another car and to your, like you're going to jump it. If the starter engages, that may be cause or symptom of your problem. In that case, I would replace the ignition switch and the starter at the same time. I know that's possible because it happened to me, and was the reason why I kept burning out alt's and batts.
