Problem please read
The last couple of weeks i've notice a vibration when i accelerate from the front to middle of the car so i had a mechanic check out the exhaust system eveything was solid but he mention the cataylic converter may be failing i have 62,000 miles and counting. So with this info i hook up my vag check my engine codes nothing there went in the readiness screen and just about everything has fail the system check including the cataylic converter my question does this mean the cataylic converter needs to be replace which i would think so and would this problem cause vibration.

i would consider that this mechanic is just throwing it out there with nothing to back it up...
I would think if the cat were failing, as stated..you would throw a code. i would consider motor mounts a possible problem
