Default Problem while debadging

I have a black 2001 Audi A4, and i purchased it w/ 40500 K miles on it, and the first thing to do, of course, is debadge. However, when i did it, i could faintly see an outline of both the A4 and the 1.8T emblems. They are visible about four feet away if you know where to look. I've tried lots of GooGone and wax, and nothign works. Is it one of those things where it;ll eventually go away, or will i need somethin else?

Is it the adhesive that's left over or paint fade, or...?

Default Use GooGone with a toothbrush. If that doesn't work, then....

get a mild polish (NOT WAX!) and use a little across the whole area. Don't do spot polishing; that will remove too much from just the area in question. Instead, polish the area over a large section so it will blend the polished area with the rest of the car.

Default try to clay the area, then...

use 3M IHG to buff it out. Wax the area afterwards.

It's just dirt/residue on the paint.

Default Before you do that

Wash the area really well. Does it seem that the paint is raised in the area? If you dont feel any adhesive on the car, wax it. Otherwise clay it and then wash and wax. When I did mine that is how it was, but after a while the raised paint disappeared.

well, it seems a little of both. Their is a little paint fade naturally, but the marks seem a little raised.

IHG won't cut, I'd recommend SMR
