PROGRESS Is Being Made!!!
Well, so far this week we've made it from this:

The SC is off the engine now so that we can re-fabricate the bracket. In a small oversight in the original set-up the fabricator misjudged the space available & the edge of the bracket interfered with the headlamp housing (necessitating modifying the housing temporarily). This being unacceptable, & the fact that a new headlight is being installed when the car is in the body shop next week, gave the opportunity to correct the bracket shape to fit. (There ain't much room in there!!!)
So the saga continues......
