PS fluid question

PS fluid question
I filled the PS fluid to the top line, started my car and let it run for 5 mins. Then i turned it off and let it sit for about 5 mins, i came back out and looked at the fluid level and its at the bottom line.....It doesn't seem to be leaking. When i start my car i notice that the fluid stays at that bottom line. Is this alright?

hmm... i'd recommend the following...
First fill it up to the fill line. Second start the car and have the front wheels raised. Go all the way to the right (to the maximum .. don't force it). Then go all the way to the left (to the maximum don't force it). Check the level again. If it goes down... refill and repeat (this way you know the system was full when you refilled it).
If after this it goes down again. You have a leak. Remove the plastice cover surrounding the P.S. fluid fill bottle. There are two hoses running into it. See those clamps. They suck, replace them. Next follow the lines down below in front of your rad. You'll see a coil/loop thing. It's your p.s. cooler. See those clamps. Replace them they suck.
Finally if you are still losing fluid. Go to your upper boot. umm

see that rubber boot (this is underneath the wheel well on the driver side. Push it back after removing the clamp. If you see any fluid you have a leak... same with passenger side. In that case you need a new rack. Search audi powersteering racks on google. You'll come up with a bunch.
