question

hey, ok i'm sorry i cant provide pics, but hopefully somebody knows what im talking about, when i look down into the engine bay, right behind the radiator, on the left side, near the BPV and N75, there is a hose, a thick plastic hose that looks like vacuum cleaner tubing, anybody know the part number for this hose is? thanks

I'm guessing you are talking about one of the secondary air injection pump hoses

also known as a smog pump. do a search. there is bound to be a diagram of them floating around. then you can indicate which part you need a number for.

cool, thanks man i searched and yeah it's the smog pump, makes this horrendous noise for like a minute when i start the car, well if anybody on the forums could hook me up with the part number for the HOSE to the smog pump, it would be much appreciated

bad news. If it sounds like a jet taking off while the pump is running you are about to lose it and

they are not cheap. Around $300. Once it dies your car will throw a code like "Secondary Air - Incorrect Flow". The CEL will come on.

Those damn things rust out when water gets into the housing. But your immediate problem about the hose...there is more than one hose. One goes from the airbox to the pump and the other goes from the pump to the block. If I recall one of the hoses is in multiple segments too. Your best bet is to go to the dealer and get them to show you the parts diagram and then you can point out the part that you need.
