Default question

This has probably been talked about before but, how do you take off the front liscense plate bracket and what is under it if you do. does the bumper require painting, holes to be filled?

Thanks

Default Or 3 large holes, and two small ones....

If the previous owner used screws to hold the plate that were too long

yes, i can relate to that. I ended up sanding the parts that stick up and put painted plugs in.

Default Re: question

To take off the front plate just take off the liscense plate, then you should see what there is. Basically just undue every bolt you see and you will eventually get the entire mounting bracket.

Under the bracket is three holes that will need to be plugged. I haven't taken my bracket off cause it is illegal where I live, but I've heard people that have say they went to their Audi dealer to get the plugs and they refused....so they went to the Porsche dealer(next door where I live) and asked and they didn't even charge them. They were like, we didn't make it so we don't care. Hope this helps.
