Questions about 3-piece wheels??!!!

<center><img src="http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b201/lewisbp/My%20Car%20Stuff/ECS%20TUning/P1030240.jpg"></center><p>As some may know i am making a widebody this winter and i need new wheels, i found a lot out there and they are nice, but too expensive. At least for the ones that i like. I want a 3-4 inch lip on the wheels, not sure for exact yet, all depends.

I was sitting in my 3d solidworks class this morning and i decided on making my own 3 pc. wheels. Does anyone have any iformation on how these wheels go together w/o any air leaks, just curious, no time to search right now, so if any one is interested in sharing their knowledge that would be great. As far as the centers go, I can get them milled rigth here at school for nothing on the brand new 2005 CNC machine. I love my rims and the way they look, so i am planning on doing the same style as my wheel designonly in a 4 in deep dish rim.

they will prob look ok deepdish 3pc as long as they arent painted chameleon : p

and get some friggin bigger brakes to fill in those holes guy!

3-piece rims require bolting 2 barrels and center together with silicon sealing.

Yup but, the silicone doesnt go b/w the barrels as it will shrink

Once you get the wheel bolted together, you spread silicone along the seems on the inside (so you cannot have the tire on when you do this.)
