Questions. Help please?!
1. Does anyone know if you have to change a bulb or the whole unit for the rear light assembly to change the color of the blinker. I have shipped my car to Germany, and German law requires that the blinkers be yellow (instead of red like in the US). The shop is telling me that I have to replace the whole unit. Does anyone know the best / cheapest way to go about this??
2. Further from a turbo question that I had earlier: the shop read the codes, and the code that keeps popping up after the car goes into limp mode is 17963 P1555 035 (turbo boost level too high). They say that it means a) the solenoid actuating the wastegate is shot or, b) the wastegate rod is corroded and stuck in open position. Does anyone here have experience or recommendations about this??

As far as the DTC's and your mechanic's suggestions....
First find out if your car has been misfiring at high rpm's. If not, then these are the possible problems:
1. Wastegate bypass regulator valve malfunctioning
2. Wiring to wastegate bypass regulator valve malfunctioning
3. Wastegate in turbocharger stuck in open position
4. Leak between turbocharger and intake manifold
5. Turbocharger malfunctioning
If your car has been misfiring at high rpm's then these are the possible problems:
1. Vacuum diaphragm for wastegate malfunctioning
2. Hoses to vacuum diaphragm (for wastegate) over wastegate bypass regulator valve leaking
3. Vacuum diaphragm wastegate in turbocharger stuck in closed position
