If you use HIDs in an H7 headlamp projector, bad things will happen.

Default the 97 lights look bad...

....and I think I can get a very good deal on a set of 00 HID lights that are cleared.

I guess I should keep looking for 99+ stock A4 lights then

This is what I was looking at.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33710 &item=7987313539

I thought that it was not a direct bolt on upgrade to the complete HID setup and I assume the auction does not come with everything. I was asking if I could use the H7 bulb in the HID housing.
I was thinking of this post by Andy_TN, but he used S4 Xenon housings, not HID.

Default i don't think you can plug the H7s in inside the housings...

i may be wrong, but i know i had to change the wiring inside my housing to accept the D2S bulb. and the wiring inside the light might not even be complete in the housing you are looking at if it doesn't come with a ballast(ie no power actually reaching the bulb)

the projecter is not designed for a halogen light pattern. light will scatter, people will be blind.
