Quick question about t-stat
2 years ago, I did the t-belt and all the standard stuff but botched seating the t-stat properly. I didn't mind a less than 1/2 gallon per year drip but it seems to be getting worse. It doesn't look pretty either.
you know what the best part about this reply is... the fact that i havent done my TB yet (going to in a week or so) yet due to the reading i do on here i know the answer to problems even if i havent experienced them.

The issue I recall having was seating it properly. It's an awkward position and you have to get the o-ring, t-stat, and housing to meet up with the block all at once... on your back... with car goo dripping in your eyes...
I think the hardest part was holding the t-stat in place while trying to reinstall the coolant line.
