Quick question, will there be an error code if I took out the cat and replace it with a down pipe?

Quick question, will there be an error code if I took out the cat and replace it with a down pipe?

Being an OBD II car, a 97... Or will I be okay with it. Thanks.

I think you'll get a code .. the rear o2 sensor checks to see that the cat is functioning.

You'd have to get altered software for the ECU. CMH said he had GIAC software that eliminated that look see by the ECU. With OEM I think you are SOL.
