Default Radio code hack? Would you please put your radio's sn and code?

Just bought a radio w/o code. May be we can figure out a way to hack the code. Would you please post the sn and code of your radio if you know so that we can look for how the code is set?

Mine is a Concert 1. Maybe, we can try other radios too.

Radio name followed by the sn would be fine. Mine is

Concert 1: AUZ5Z6V0023364, 23872

The first is from audi, and the second from Matsu****a.

Default i dont think there is a logic to the system but i might be wrong

there used to be radio serial generators online.

try 1111

as for the collection of serials:
if we have any programmers here that could write up a program that will take in serial and code and then find a common factor in all of given data we might have a match.

There's no real point. My guess is codes were randomly chosen by a computer and programed in.

Default We're going to have to hack the internets.

I don't think that would happen, There is more than just the serial number involved with creating the PIN, there is usually a pseudo random number involved (Time of Day, or a random Number) that is factored in along with the Serial to create the PIN.

If the serial number was the only thing used to create the PIN then there is no real point to the PIN because a thief could steal the radio and then figure out the PIN from the SN alone.

If you have a VAG, there may be somewhere within the Radio module that will give you the code or allow you to change it. I have not investigated this at all thought.

Default You can't unlock the radios with VAG-COM. The options here are pony up

and head to the dealer to get the radio unlocked or go back to the seller to see if they have it some where.

Default He didn't say VAG-COM. He said VAG [cable] and you can use something like VDS

to access the hex code of a module.

It's also great way to screw something up if you're not careful.

Default all the IT people on this board need to get together and start coding

get a mix between vagtools, vagcom, lemmiwinks, tachopro and all the east european coded car thief softwares together to get going and produce something that can do all of this:

vagcom functions
lemmiwinks adaption
radio code readout
speedometer resets
airbag module crash resets
custom cluster messages and logos

in one software!

I have an array of software in addition to those mentioned above and they all have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Default only way to find out is if we get a software going that looks for common parameters on the inputs

given..

dont know until we get something going and then feed it with data.

Default Re: all the IT people on this board need to get together and start coding

That would be a huge undertaking, the Vag capability alone would be way too much, Why do you think we have Ross-Tech LOL.

I agree that something easier than Standard Vag Tools would be nice for finding fault codes, and doing basic things like Resets and minor adjustments, but anything beyond that and it gets way too complicated due to how the control system is configured and things like access codes to allow access to modify those things.

Basically to do all of this you would be looking to go head to head with Ross-Tech.
