Reasonable way to remove the Avant rails? Or leave 'em alone?
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/113802/avant3.jpg"></center><p>I have stumbled over this issue for almost a year since buying my Avant--have seen some great pics of Avants in europe without the rails, but they're not unattractive, either. But I have ordered the Zender rear wing, and am thinking she will look better without the rails.
But from the looks of it, removing those rails will be like the nightmare from hell, and then there's the issue of caps or something to cover the holes, without looking like some totally cheesedick attempt at a mod. Thoughts? Has this been covered before?

I would leave them on, they look good as is, and any potential mpg increase
is probably not worth the effort. The main benefit would probably be the reduction in wind noise...
However it would be harder to sell the car in the future without the rails in my own opinion...
