Remote Radar Question
Do any of you have a Valentine One or any other Radar/Laser dectector remote mounted? If so:
How do you like it?
Cost: How much installed?
Ease of installation? Pro only or easy to do?
How is the rear/side detection?
I'm considering getting a V-1 remote, but I don't understand how the rear antenna will work if it's mounted under the hood.

V1 is not like the K40.
The main unit is still the standard windhield mounted unit...it goes in the car, not under the hood. The remote mount for the V1 means that you have the option of mounting the main unit up near the headliner, but a remote *display* can be placed anywhere, giving you directional signals and strength metering. The main unit just goes dark, but still provides audible warnings.
Units like the K40 actually have components that mount inside the grill of your car, etc.
