remote switchblade key

does anyone know where I might be able to get the key portion of of my switchblade remote replaced without having to pay an arm and a leg at the dealer?

i've seen blanks on ebay....

you still need to get it cut though. some locksmithe have the machine to cut them. where are you?

dealer is pretty much it.. ~$70 to order a key and cut it

OR you can get an uncut key with a remote off ebay for about $50 and get it cut for $10 at a dealer.. thats what i did

ebay for like 15 bucks...then get it cut @ dealer for like 30

only problem is the remote.......

iirc the 96 has a 2 botton remote! make sure the fcc# is close to yoour original remote. there are at least 2 types of switchblade remotes. only one of which work on my 97.

yeah I would but when I called my dealer up and asked to just have the key portion replaced, the guy gave me a ridiculous price of $125 just for that, I'm looking for someplace in Toronto or in Riverside/ Orange County
