reprogramming computer display

so my a4 has been sitting idle for the last few months due to an unfortunate dui (.086, don't judge me) and i finally got the motivation to do a bunch of much need maintanence (brakes, battery, washerfluid, and finally gas) the computer is happy and now gives me the satisfying 'OK' at startup. driving it around, i got to thinking that there has to be something better that can be displayed in the top section. mine says 'cd 01 99'(ipod), but i don't see why somebody couldn't make a way to the a nice four rings logo there or something. just a thought.

It's possible, but not easy by any means.

Some guys have figured out how to tap into it to display boost, oil temps, Valentine 1, etc etc.

I take that back, they are/were working with V1 to integrate into the display--not sure if it's still going to happen.

talking about this. gas used since engine has been started. 100cs has it the b5 dont

i used to have the screen that would tell you how much gas you had burned away since the car had been started. the b5 didnt had that feature. maybe we need to some researching on the 100 you could solder in some parts and have the door open feature and stuff activated to show in the display
