Rubbing???
I am thinking about putting some 18 in oettinger rims on my 99 audi a4 1.8t with quattro and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they will rub. I am also thinking about lowering it. Help. The tire size is 225 40 18. And any suggestions on lowering springs? Thanks Adam

It's a fairly common wheel on AW.. Search the archive, a number of people are running with that wheel without any rubbing problems.
What are you looking to get out of your suspension. There are dozens of options, everything from $500 to $2500.

Lot of options.
Lowering springs like H&R, Vogtland, Eibach, Intrax.
Shocks from Bilstein or Koni.
Any combination really will result in a good setup. There are some minor differences between all of them, which the archives could clear up.
We have the Koni/H&R combo on sale for another week. Good time to pick that set up.

Stasis is obviously one option up there..
Any custom application will run at least that much.. Something like a Moton, Penske, Leda shocks, with 2.5" race springs will all probably run well over the $2k mark.
