shift linkage mod...

Mine looks like the crappy one on the left. What year did they start the using the newer one on the right? I'm going to go junkyard hunting later today to see if I can find one. FYI I have a 98.5

on top of the tranny, closer to the passenger side...

you'll see the rubber tunnel that comes down from the shift assembly, and it'll be poking out if there and connected to the tranny

I know that the pushdown 99.5's still have the older style linkage

IIRC someone made a great post about how they modified/rebuilt that linkage...

It may have been made into a tech article, Im not sure. Does anybody else remember this?
