sibling rivalry at work

He's been driving Audis all his life, and I can't talk the guy into doing anything with it, not even a friggin' chip. I even invited him to go to Roebling Road in March...no interest. So sad...

Chris, why did you go with 17" why not 18", Im just trying to decide for myself.

I wrestle with that decision every day.
1. Cost. I dunno if you've looked, but BBSs are damn costly, and I got them at dealer price. I didn't want to blow everything on wheels. Had other stuff to buy (see below). 18" tires are pricey too.
2. Ride. While I did want a firmer ride and better handling, I didn't want to worry about potholes and an awful ride. My GS-R (lowered, 17s) rode like **** on long drives and over anything but perfect pavement. I wanted a setup I could live with for a long, long time.
I may sell my wheels and tires though and get 18s. I'll ride in a few A4s with 18s and decide then.
