The Simple Truth
Although I have not posted here in months, I have continued to read. After a year owning my 99.5 Q/M/S/C, I have to make a comment. These cars are just really f--n expensive. Don't misunderstand me, I love my car, but it is super expensive. Simple fact for all of the poeple that ask this question. Be prepared to spend a lot of money. If you dont do your own work, be prepared to spend a ton of money. I have had so many problems in the past year that all of my friends make a joke out of it. Granted, they are all love it and want to drive it, but it does still have a ton of promlems.
All that being said, everytime I drive away from the shop, or the dealer, I have a huge smile on my face because I love what I drive.
This car is for the driver, and the car lover. Just be prepared to pay.

LAF. That is pretty funny and impressive that you remember. Yes, my car was stolen. That is one of the problems I was referring to. That alone cost me a grand. From what I can tell, no lasting damage was done. At least that is what Audi and an independant shop tell me.

true, but people expect to mod their car and maintain reliability.
sure audi has some glaring reliability problems (such as the vac lines which everyone replaces eventually) but alot of the problems are caused by owners operating the car outside of spec.
like using aftermarket rims with a non-spec offset. sure your car will drive, and handle fine, but when wheel bearings start going and suspensions bushings sqeak, who can say whether it was a design flaw or simply the design being run out of spec that caused the failure?

That is a great point but....
the only changes I have made were the APR Stage II upgrade. From all the research I did, that should not have caused most of the problems I had.
either way, I could be wrong, but MY car is super expensive and I would still not trade it.
