Ski sack

Have not had a chance to use the ski sack in my 2.8 yet. How does it work ? How many pairs of skis will it hold? Are the skis exposed inside the passenger compartment? bob w. 98' 2.8QMS Santorin blue

Bob,The ski sack inverts into the passenger compartment, so you slide the skis (rear first) into the sack after folding down the rear armrest.I usually don't try more than about two pairs of downhill skis, more if X-country. Perhaps if you didn't care as much if they got scratched up, you might try jamming more in. Also depends on the size of your bindings, where they typically get jammed up going through.If you regularly carry multiple pairs of skis and four passengers, you might find it easier (as I did) to use a top ski carrier; on the factory rack in my case.Have fun out there...hope you have snow tires on that A4 sport..Rich '98 2.8 Q sport

I agree with Rich, also ..

Because my skis are 204's, I end up putting them in tips first otherwise the bindings become the limiting factor in the pass-through section. Just be careful not to poke the tips through the sack. As an aside, I had to put my armrest down to fit them in and I hate driving with the armrest down. My fault I guess for being tall ...
