Some basic questions on detailing

My knowledge of detailing is the entire wash, wax and buff process. Is it really possible to remove small scratches by detailing (professional)? Do they show again after time? Is Ziebart tidycar a good place or are the privates better?

yep

only hairline.. no they won't come back
but you can do it yourself just as easily.. if you've got arms and time..

How do you remove corrosion on engine alluminum? (White spots) and prevent?

I looked at the website but didn't get too much info on this.

the engine is another ball game,

i'd head over to autozone and see about an engine cleaner/degreaser...
