Some basic questions Pls Help!
What Fluid do use for the power steering fluid? The dealer recommends Audi mineral based fluid but its too expensive . Any recommendations?<p>Is a turbo Timer a must for stock 1.8tqms? How about for a stage 2 TAP kit?<p>

Not to pick on you or anything, but have you considered how much you are spending on your A4? I mean, this is NOT the car you want to skim on quality to get quantity. It will do more harm then good down the road. Most, if not all, people on this board would rather spend 2x as much on OEM parts. I mean, I was at a VW dealer the other day... I picked up a jug (gallon?) of the Autobahn brand anti-freeze (VW/Audi OEM) at $15! Is that expensive? Yes. Is it worth it...a most definite yes! <p>If you find some of the stuff at your dealer's to be too expensive (more often than not), try mail-order shops that sells just Audi/VWs/Porsches parts. There are plenty around, just look in a copy of european car magazine. These shops will probably sell you that same Audi OEM mineral oil (or antifreeze, oil filters...etc.) for 1/2 to 2/3 the cost at the local dealer (prices may vary). German Parts & Restoration (GPR Parts) and Blaufergnugen are two that quickly come to mind. Clair Parts - Audi dealer (in MA) also offers discount prices on some of their OEM parts. <p>Good luck with your search... <p>Cris<br>
