Some issues
So i have a 2000 a4 1.8t and have a few concerns. When I first picked the car up, it seemed like it was stuck in 3rd or 4th gear. (its an automatic) So i took the TCM out and put it back in. Car seems to at least shift now. Sometimes it still has some hesitation. Would that mean the TCM may be bad or going bad? Also, the car smoked like crazy. It wasnt a blue smoke either it was a thick white smoke that didnt smell like coolant or oil. Not sure what it could be. Im getting a P1426 code as well- "Tank ventilation valve open circuit". Anyone have any idea what that may be? Is it the little connector on top of the air box?
