Default Speeding
I speed a lot. I have been really lucky as far as tickets go. I got one 91 in a 60 but other than that nothing. I am leaving for college in 2 weeks and want you opinion on which laser detector I should get. V1 or the passport 8500. Thanks guys. Adam

Default laser detectors are fairly useless ...
it's only informs you that you've been tagged. =/

but yea .. v1 is great. 4years, 60k miles, 1.5 trips cross country and 0 tickets. =)

Default i've got the 8500 and i stand by it.
most people here are V1 lovers and will beat the Passport 8500 users into submission. i'm convinced they're both good radars.

by the way, this debate has been talked into the ground. try running a search.

Default Get a V1 and some sort of laser jammer if local police uses laser.

Default I have a Bell, and it has worked well for me... I drove from Seattle to Austin, Tx and caught police
radar at least a mile before... my dad drove with me and thought that the detector was crap, but he had changed his mind after the trip.

For the money should I just get a V1? I checked out the archived articles and the V1 owners are fanatical about them.
