Speedometer Stopped Working - Circuit problems?

Default Speedometer Stopped Working - Circuit problems?
So my speedometer stopped working today. Restarting didnt help. It works in reverse, but as soon as it gets over 5 mph it drops back down to zero. The odometer does not work as well. Got any ideas?

Default You won't get a CEL but there's a full set of tests for the cluster.
You can make the RPM and speedometer move.

Borrow or buy one.

If you have an Audi it's not optional.First tool in your toolbox unless you like paying more than you should for repairs.

seriously. worked on my 90. popped right back up into place.

Default I'm thinking about trying..
I drove some more last night and a couple times it jumped up for a second, then went back down. It works just fine in reverse. Once i start going forward, it goes up maybe to 2mph then drops down. I think im going to take the cluster out and check the connectiosn.
