Stage3 question

Default Stage3 question

Well, finally after having my car at APR for 4 months, received it.
Drove the car, and I'll be damned if it has the claimed 280+hp.
I went from an MTM Stage 3, which was 245hp to APR, I can't be certain, but the car feels significantly slower than my MTM felt.
Also having my parents' Benz E420 with a chip, did
a race ( with my wife driving the Benz ) and me driving the Audi, I was barely able to keep up with it.
Guys, am I missing something on the claimed power?
The car feels snappy, but I know what a 280hp car feels like having a Porsche 930 before, and it's no match at all.
I also drove in parallel a stock S4 vs my car and the S4 is definately much faster.
I understand that I have to rev up the engine, and blah blah blah, but throughout the RPM range, the S4 has a lot more power and torque.

I don't want to cause a fighting match, I'm just a very dissapointed person right now, after not having a car for 4 months, and spending this amount of money, what did I get?

Who gives a flying f.... where he is!!!!!! after so much time and money.

Default One thing....

I know that the MTM products create more low end power than APR products, but lack the high end. Driving a 280 HP car will produce different results in each car. Weight plays a huge factor, so does the Quattro. I would also let APR work out the stage III timing issues on the 01 cars before believing that it is not as fast as a stock S4. Don't be dissapointed. When they finally get it straight, that thing will fly.

Default I haven't seen anything from the 01's .. just yours and one other private car owner that I'm aware

of but the 00's (while a tad slower than the nDBWs) have put down times equivelent to Stage 1 and Stage2 S4's ..
What fuel and program are you running?

Default Whoa, Whoa, Whoa....

Relax. Think about this. Working on the 01 and up cars is a difficult and trying task. The timing is more complicated, the variable valve timing is more complicated than the pre vvt cars, the DBW system is hard to work with, and to top it off, they haven't officially released the stage III for our cars. I understand you must feel like you were taken for a ride with the amount of money you spent, but don't you think they will make it right? They would not be in business if they could not make these things work. Give it a while and you will be suprised. By the way, how much have you driven since you got it back?

Default It has 2 modes, even though, I paid for all 4

since the engineer is out, they are not sure what those modes are, most likely the chipped one, and the 100 octane one.
I took it to my mechanic, who has worked with APR products before, not the Stage 3, but lots of Stage 2 S4's so he is fluent with this stuff, and his impression was that the car is not what
they are claiming to be, too.
Plus, being able to barely keep up with a Benz E420 ( 0-60 in 6.4 sec ), and I'm a more experienced driver than my wife, so it's not just my impression.

I'm just wondering what could possible be wrong, and at the same time geniunly pissed off at APR, they had my car, they took their time, and what?
