Starting problem
I’ve a 97 A4 B5 event 1.6 petrol,
some mornings first start up the engine would for no reason stall and on the second attempt the car would start fine. I’d say it happens least twice a week.
the car is regularly serviced and drives very well for the age. Any ideas

Fuel injector or fuel pressure leak down. Try cycling the key two or three times before a cold start. Turn key but do not engage the starter. Let it sit in that position for 4 seconds the; turn off the key. Then start as usual. If it starts then your fuel system is losing pressure overnight. You can search this forum for the answer.
