Stereo install
Finally semi-completed my stereo install. Right now I have the Scosche face plate but will replace it soon with an anodized aluminum bracket. The Scosche plate looks fine but if I was to keep it, I would have to enlarge the opening a bit because when the faceplate opens, the Scosche will pop out. The radio you see is the Sony XRC-900 Mobile ES unit.

Speakers
I'll try to get pictures of speakers. I have the MB Quart RSB 215 in the front and stock speakers in the rear doors. I'm not totally satisfied with the sound of the MB Quart. It sounds too harsh with no midrange/bass presence. I might have to put an equalizer in there.

Do you have the Reference model MB Quarts? I have the base model Autobahn 6.5" component set, and I think they sound awesome. I am also powering them with a M44, and I have a small 5-band Kenwood equalizer(maybe that helps). Have you considered adding a sub or two for low-end? JL Audio subs compliment the Quarts really well.

I have the Referenz Comp series. They don't sound too good unless it is really loud. The midbass isn't loud enough or the tweeters are too loud. I've turned down the treble and that doesn't seem to help. I've turned up the bass and that helped a bit. I think it needs an EQ.<p>I plan to use the factory subwoofer again. I'll probably bridge the M44 to power just the fronts. I'll then tap into the factory harness to power the rear door/subwoofer.

I have a similar setup. However, with the MB Quarts up in front, Boston Acoustics in the rear, and JL Audio 10" subs -- all controlled by the small Kenwood equalizer. With the subs, I don't have to worry about enough bass coming through the other speakers. In any event, the EQ functions as a low frequency crossover for the front & rear speakers when the subs are engaged.
