Subs
I'm having my friend install them for me. He told me to find out where I can get DC output from the rear. I have the bose system installed. His plan was to unplug both rear 6.5 inch subs, and put that into the new amp. Anyone know or have any.. suggestions? Thanks a lot

You should run a dedicated power wire from your battery to the trunk, and DO NOT tap any other line, simple as that. This is the CORRECT way to do it.

so is this saying i can tap out the rear subs and put it into the new amp?
and for power run a line from the battery...
That's the bulk of it. You don't need to use the blaupunkt adaptor, you can just tap the speaker line before it gets to the amp on the rear speakers. Might need a line level converter for that, not sure. Other than that, you need an amp. Something that does 100 into 1 channel @ 4 ohms is standard issue for a 10" sub, but anything that does more than that is good.

But if you want to tape that signal, you can. You CAN get it from the speaker however, those leads going into the rear speaker in a bose system are amplified speaker level. You would need a line level coverted and thats yet ANOTHEr place noice can occur.
So if you are insistant on tapping in the trunk area, it BEFOFE it gets to the bose amp. Find the rear or front line level (pre-amp out)signal that goes into the bose amp and tap right there.
