suggestions needed on car locking problem..
lately i've had a problem with my 2000 a4. sometimes it won't let me lock the door and arm the alarm.
other times when i try to lock the door, as i turn to lock it the interior lock doesn't go down but stays up.
and just last night at 2 am in pouring rain the alarm went off twice, and my front amber turn signals and the rear brake lights stayed on.
what could this problem be? i've searched and all i can find is it is the central locking unit, or something is wrong with the vaccum pump.
