Default Suspension Changes

What changes if any have been made to the stock (non-sport) suspension from the '97 to the '00 models?

Default 1997 Nonsport vs. 2000 Nonsport

The current (1999.5) nonsport 1.8T cars have the ugly "I want to look like wheel covers" wheels instead of the better-looking 1997 A4 1.8T nonsport wheels (Audi 100 8-Spoker).

Don't know if wheel choices for 2000 have been finalized, though Gary would know if anyone does.

Default Sway Bar Changes/Uplink Arms/Lower strut tie bar

I believe the non-sport suspensioned 2000 cars get the same
sway bars as the 2000 sport suspensioned cars get now. This
was not the case back in 1997. In 1997, the front sway bar was 27mm
and hollow...and the rear was about 11-12mm and solid. The
2000 sway bars are 29mm and hollow in front...and 16mm and
solid in rear. Another change from 97 to 2000 is that the uplink
arms in the rear suspension went from solid metal in 97 to plastic
(and larger in diameter and square in shape) in the 98 or 98.5
model years (hence different in 2000 from the 97 model year).
One last thing...under the engine on the 2000 and actually 99.5
cars you will find a small bar that goes across from the left
to right side. This bar was not found on the 97 cars.
