Suspension Problem PLEASE HELP
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/21879/dscf0477.t.jpg"></center><p>I already poseted about this but i really need some advice. I have koni coilovers adjusted to low (95 in the back and 325 in front) and there is this scraping/groan coming from the front passenger side. After it happened i immediatly took a wrench to all the bolts and found everything to look pretty normal. The only thing i noticed was that the boot (boot on top connected to a plastic cylinder) that goes over the hole where the shock rob comes out, wedged itself in the upper assembly. Im wondering if this plastic scraping against the threads of the coilovers is making the sound. If so, how can i stop it? Has anyone had this problem?? PLEASE HELP!!! The picture shows the boot im talking about...seems to have happened on this car too...

That picture might be a bit deceiving in that the suspension is unloaded. The dust cover ought not
be wedged in the 'upper assembly'. It should be down over the top of the shock tube when the car is on the ground. It is entirely possible that is the source of your noise.

possible answer.
I put on my koni COs about a month ago and i had a groan coming from both front suspension areas. What I did to fix the problem was to take an impact gun, and really CRANK DOWN that nut that holds the whole front strut assembly together. If you dont know what nut I'm taking about, it's the nut that goes on top of the threaded shaft. Basically, it's the main nut that holds everything together. Do you understand what I'm talking about? I hope this helps.

I would say your front is too low and your tires are rubbing on the wheel liner...
that was my problem, and I took the wheel liners off. And about that top nut not being tight enough, you would hear a clunking noise.

i dont think thats the problem.... both sides are equal height... plus i can make the sound just by
pushing down on the car even when it is not in motion.... im still within the recomended setings
