Tail light wiring problem

hey guys, ive read the tech thread on converting the tails to the new 00-01 ones. i went to do it today, swapped the lights and went to swap the wires but i was unable to pull them out of there harness location. i used a flat head driver to push , pry, and did everything to get them out, but couldn't. is there a trick to it? please help

you have to open the connector, then use a micro screw driver to pop them out.

if you don't open up the connector, they won't budge.

i did open the connector, and i used a small screwdriver and pushed on them from the connection side, and pulled the wire at the same time, i got nothing.

if you look carefully at the inside of the connector, they are held in wedge-style....

you need to put the flat tip of a tiny screw driver at the right spot to get they "wedge" to lift and out comes the tip from the connector. Once you get one, the rest will be cake! ;-)
