Technical question about boost and comp. ratio
So I work with this guy, he's pretty into cars. More of a turbo Dodge(Shelbys, Daytonas etc) kind of guy. He seems dumbfounded by the fact that "us guys" run 14-15 lbs of boost or more on stock compression. Now, I'm no car n00b or anything but I really don't have an answer for him. I realize typical turbo engines running 15lbs or more of boost generally don't have 9.5:1 compression. Anyone care to explain? I know it works, just not quite sure how. I want to shut up my co-worker about this.
