is there any other Audi approved coolant that might be another color besides pink/orange?
I just had some repairs done to my car by an independent shop, which involved them having to replace some coolant. Up until the repairs were done, the coolant was always orange in appearance. Today I peeked under the hood and noticed it looks sorta dark green-ish.
Oh geez, I hope they didn't use something that is going to harm my car. I'll call them tomorrow morning to find out... but I just want to get some background info for now. It's an independent BMW/Mercedes/Audi specialist, so they **should** know which is the correct stuff.

Better flush that crap out quick...
Because the pink and green mixed together = engine destruction. Either flush it completely out and replace with green, or stick to factory spec and refill it completely with G12 (pink stuff). If you let it sit, it will start forming a brown sludge that will clog up your cooling system, so act fast.

Just read about G11 and G12 mixture to audi at http://www.nordicaudi.com/faq/motor/030422_termostat/termostat.htm story.
So is it possible that tey did G11 and G12 mixture for some reason?
I am using G12 here in Finland and not going to change to mixture of anyking, but maybe they have a point there. Just waiting for those -40 Celsius mornings...

My 96 has had green coolant in it for 109K.
I think its just an earlier version.I doubt its a problem.My car has been serviced by an Audi dealer and an independent and even when they flush it they replace it with the green stuff.
