Time to rant...
Brought my car in for repair today (Sunroof opens by itself, and defective heated mirrors) and was told ahead of time that they could program in the safety autolock function and remote windows open/close function. When I get there I was told by another service rep that Audi of America told them that they no longer could do that. Reasons being the Safety autolock will kill the central locking system and the remote windows open/close function will disable the pinch protection. I called AofA to verify those statments. The lady I talked to insisted that the safety autolock function does not exist on Audi. Then I asked her to look at the TSB on tech.vw.com on the one about the safety autolock, the one she insist that function does not exist. A few minutes later she came back and offered to call my dealership for me. A few more minutes later she explained that the due to the reasons that the dealer already gave me they will not perform those functions. I indicated if that's true why does Audi/VW still post the TSB on the net? She indicated those TSB on the net are "subject to change" and there's nothing I could do about it.
Guess there's nothing I could do about it.
