Default Tip owners

When using the tip, do you
1) take foot off gas inbetween shifts
2) hold gas while shifting?

I 've found that if I take foot off of gas and hammer it again when next gear is engaged I get more torque. Any 1 else?

Default taking foot off gas isn't necessary

and from what I've found causes undo stress on the tranny. I've tried both and found that I accelerate quicker just keeping foot in the gas.

Default I'v found it shifts quicker if I just kind of back off the throttle for a sec, but the timing has to

be perfect. I wouldnt dare try this while racing.... yet.

Default TipChip makes a big difference...

really cuts down on the lag between shifts.

But when racing I don't think I would actually use the Tip mode. When I took mine to Summit Point Raceway for ACNA event, I tried both modes and seem to have much better laps in Auto mode.

Default I never understood that

on corners, how do you keep the torque into the apex without the aid of gearing?

Default you can't drive it like a manual

requires a different technique, you need to scrub off more speed before the turn and be back into the power as you turn in.

Default Really good question

Everyone keeps telling me to just keep my foot down, but if I let off and time it right I do feel more torque and it seems to shift nicer. This is even with an APR chip so I don't know.
