Tip problem. Anybody else seen this?
I'm driving in Tip-mode, stop and go traffic. Nothing out of the ordinary. Car decides in would rather be in auto. Dash indicator goes into auto mode and ignores position of shift lever. Does this for a while and then works normally after a period of time. Happens after maybe 45 minutes of driving. Very infreqent.
Dealer reports another 99 owner with similar symptoms. I find no tranny VAG codes on mine, dealer reports unable to see codes or reproduce the problem on the other car.
Thoughts?
