Tiptronic problem?

Has anyone encountered this problem? When the car is "cold" (not that cold in SoCal), the tip won't shift until the car exceeds 3000rpm under light acceleration. It does that for two shifts and then the car behaves normally.

Haven't noticed that, as I had never really bothered to watch specifically where I shifted into 2nd gear for the first few times after starting from cold. I just shifted when I felt I wanted to and never noticed this. I will pay closer attention to this in the next few days to see if there is a problem.

First shift of the day at 3000 RPM is totally normal.

I have talked to several other Tip owners and we all experience the first cold shift at 3000 RPM. (cold means first start of the day after a complete cool down and has little to do with outs air temp) From what I have been told this 3000 rpm or delayed first shift is totally normal. If I idle for about 60 seconds before I pull into the street the first shift occurs at a lower and closer to a normal shift. After the first shift all works as smooths as a hot knife thru butter. <p>Roy M 2.8 q Tip (9,800 miles)

Yeah, I see the same thing on morning starts. In addition to the late shift, sometimes the car feels as though it's not in gear when I step on the gas.<p>I'm going to inquire about this when I take the car in for the first service.<p>M. Ivy
