Tires

Have any of you ever siped your tires?
I have the Sport Package tires, and I went through last winter with them. However, I am planning on getting new 17" wheels/tires in the spring, and probably new winter tires next winter, so i was thinking about siping the tires for this winters final use. Can you guys tell me some pros and cons of siping?

Even if you do that, the rubber compound on the "sport" tires is no good for cold temps.
