trade in value?

Dealers will often super lowball a trade-in. So, say your car is worth $9,000.00 on the open market. Dealer may offer you $5 or $6k. then turn around and mark it up to $9,000.00. That's where they make a lot of $$$.
Then let them know u might trade something in.
The KBB, NADA & Edmund's is a crap while trading in. They will rip u off left and right. KBB somewhat works if u selling to private party but definately not if dealing w/dealerships. You would give them ur Audi for say $5k, they would turn around and sell it for $10K after 15minutes negotiating with the buyer. I guaranDAMNtee u u'll be better off by selling the car for $8-9k on your own plus you will make somebody else very happy. You can sell it fast, trust me - try autotrader.com
Nowadays only banks look @ KBB values etc
