transmission problems??
hi, i have a '97 a4 1.8t quattro. i have a transmission problem and have yet to get a proper diognostic on the problem. i get a clicking sound, just like the sound a worn out cv joint makes...but this sound only comes with 1st gear not on 2nd, 3rd so on ... so it does't sound it may be a cv joint...yet it only happens with 1st gear...but only if the car is on the ground or under load, if i put the car on the hoist and the wheels are free there is no sound...it only happens in 1st gear does't matter if you go straight or turn left or right...need help any ideas would be great appreciated.
