Tree Sap Solution

Finally found a good solution for getting tree sap off my car and I thought I would share my triumph. First, don't wait to get it off. It will ruin your paint.Take a plastic credit card and scrape the top portion of the sap off. I've been told that Ice works as well.Next, Get some rubbing alcohol and start rubbing. This takes off just about all the sap.Then I used some clay bar and quick detailer to get the finer parts off.Wax the car.This works really really well. Im happy with the results.

Rubbing alcohol and cars...

DON'T USE RUBBING ALCOHOL ON CAR PAINT AGAIN!!! Rubbing Alcohol eats through car paint, no joke. In college a girl used it on her car and took the paint off of the driver door, and she was wondering why as she started rubbing why blue paint was appearing on the cotten ball. Rubbing Alcohol brakes down the paints clear coat as well as the paint. It is like using nail polish remover on your car, you get the exact same effect. You have already done some damage to your paint because of that. If you want to get tree sap off a car, use gasoline. Pour a little bit on a rag, and rub gently, and then immedialely wash the car after, and wax. This is much safer for your car's paint then using rubbing alcohol. And also, don't use a credit car either, because it can scratch the surface, if you goof.
