Trip Computer Problem
I have a trip computer which went dead. I had it evaluated by Carlsen in Palo Alto, CA. The conclusion is that the computer is broken and it needs to be replaced. However, in order to replace the computer, they need to take down the dashboard and get inside the instrument cluster. I am debating whethe to proceed without a computer for good or live with the possibility that dashboard might make a lot more vibrations in the future from this procedure. What do you think?

Go ahead and get it done. I just had my instrument cluster replaced because my speedometer died. The cluster comes out and reinstalls very easily. Like you, I was a little apprehensive but everything is as solid and tight as it ever was.
