I got a Blitz...(more inside)

I've got a Blitz timer installed on my 98.5 1.8tqm. I guess its not an absolute necessity, but I figured why not? It can't hurt and its nice to not have to sit in the car after hard driving...I didn't do the install myself, so im not sure about the details. There isn't a harness available for the A4 for this timer, so there will be some cutting of ignition wires...(this is not as bad as it sounds...3 wires i believe, as opposed to 1 if there was a harness). I'm an officer in TX and I've never heard of that being illegal. If it is, it's a new one on me.

Illegal to use

Out of the driver's handbook from the DMV - it is illegal to leave a car running unattended. It doesn't mention Turbo Timers, but that's kind of the point of them right?
