Default Turbo Timer Help

So I lenthened the wires for my turbo timer and now it is not working. Is there any way that touching the two leads together or grounding one of them would have fried a fuse or relay somewhere? Other than the turbo timer not counting down, the car runs normal.

Define 'not working...' You may have fried your TT.

I know I have a working unit. Worked just fine in my buddies car the same day.

Default Follow all the wires, what are you hooking into for power, etc... Does the TT count down when you

take the key out of the ignition, or does it just go dead?

Default You're not helping me out, which in turn isn't helping yourself out... What is the TT not doing?

You have to be more descriptive so we can figure out what you did wrong.

Default Touching the wires together accidently should have no effect, unless you were a retard

and worked with LIVE wires. In that case, you got what you deserved.

Default It does not start counting down when the key is turned off

and taken out of the ignition. It stays on keeping the count-down time at the pre-set.

My first guess is that one of the wires came loose, so I'll look at that tonight. If that is not it, is there a relay or fuse that could have blown that would only effect the TT and not the normal operation of the ignition?

Stays on the pre-set time and does not start counting down.

Default Not likely. How did you 'attach' the wires together? Did you ever have it working?

You better say that you soldered them - there is 0 reason not to solder.

It sounds like your ignition wire is not connected, or connected to the wrong line. Did you clip and short the small black/blue wire in the ECU harness?
